Outside the Alftand Cathedral area, the second exit lies beyond the iron gate and the dwarven mechanism that leads to Blackreach. Again activate the lever to activate the elevator. The hero will need the elevator key from the dwarvern centurion to enter this area.

The elevator will bring the hero back to the surface of Skyrim just outside the entrance to the Alftand Glacial Ruins. The hero can now fast travel to the towns and forts of Skyrim , rest and sell those treasures picked up in the Alftand Animonculory area before returning to this point.
